Tour Plan

Day 1, Arrive in Arusha to Tarangire National Park Accommodation, ngare lodge 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch After clearing baggage claim and customs meet your safari representative and head to the Tarangire National Park which is 2hrs drive from Arusha Airport. The better part of today is spent on a game drive in the Tarangire National Park. The park is known for its enormous herds of elephants, ancient baobab trees, and having the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Tarangire. Day 2, Serengeti National Park Accommodation: Malaika camp serengeti Hotel1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner After breakfast you will take a game drive en route to Serengeti National Park, a world heritage site, stopping along the way to watch any animals you may encounter. Renowned for its wealth of lions and leopards, the Serengeti is the quintessential safari destination. Derived from the Maasai word ‘sirineti’ meaning ‘endless plains’, the Serengeti plays host to more than a million wildebeest, 200,000 zebra, and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle during the annual migration. Day 3, Serengeti National Park Accommodation: Malaika camp seregeti Hotel1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner Today, head back out for a full day of tracking the great migration from December - March this tour takes you in April/May/June (Central Serengeti and Grumeti River) and from July - October this tour goes to Mara River where the annual great migration crossing is taking place. Depending on the time of year you may be able to witness the Wildebeest Migration (Dec-July), or an abundance of predators (June-Oct). Proceed with another game drive until lunch and make a stop at the picnic for lunch. As the world’s largest caldera (nearly 100 square miles), Ngorongoro boasts over 20,000 large animals, including Tanzania’s remaining black rhino. Living alongside the abundance of wildlife you will find 40,000 Maasai pastoralists with their cattle, goats, and sheep. The conservation gives you a rare look into how people harmoniously lived with nature and wildlife in ancient times. In the evening drive out and head to the lodge for overnight. Day 6, Lake Manyara National Park | Departure Accommodation: ngare lodge Hotel1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner Rise early this morning and set out for Lake Manyara National Park, watching out for game en route. Spot the elusive tree-climbing lion, or watch for the twitch of a leopard’s tail as you make your way to Arusha Airport or hotel Day 7 village tour and local lunch mto wa mbu village Breakfast, 1 Lunch 1 This is a beautiful combination of a hike in the untamed nature of the Great Rift Valley and a cultural tour in the nearby Mto wa Mbu. During the hike, you enjoy beautiful views over Lake Manyara National Park and see many birds, monkeys, and other forest animals. In the village of Mto wa Mbu, your guide teaches you more about local life, while you stroll through the village and pass by banana plantations and afternoon local lunch before heading to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport. You are dropped off at either Arusha or the airport for your onward journey.
