Upon Arrival in Nairobi, our representative will meet you at the airport, assist and transfer you to The Residences at Karen hotel for overnight. Meals and other services can be arranged on prior notice. If already pre-planned for arrival logistics, kindly inform us so that we exempt the cost during costing.

The safari will lead you past the Thika pineapple plantations into the vast coffee plantations in Nyeri. Deep into the Aberdare National park lies The Ark Lodge where lunch will be served. You will then visit the Karuru waterfalls during an afternoon game viewing. The Ark hosts a salt lick and a waterhole which attracts different species from mammals to birds. Going to bed early doesn't mean you miss the action as the rangers usually alert guests in case of any sighting by use of a unique coded buzz. You can also have a glance of the Mount Kenya peaks from the Lodge. Dinner and overnight at The Ark Lodge.

Your last moments in this " Noah's Ark " will be spent hoping to spot some buffalo or hyena during the morning hours before departure for Shaba National reserve. Located south of the reserves of Samburu and Buffalo Springs, from which it is separated only by a road, the Shaba reserve is nevertheless very different from its two neighbours. Covering an area of 280 km2, the reserve has a wide variety of landscapes alternating with vast arid, volcanic hills, thorn bush savannah and grasslands. Shaba is also blessed with several springs that give rise to lush wetlands. Known for having been the setting of one of Joy Adamson’s novels (Penny, Queen of Shaba), the reserve is home to many animals including the special five, Beisa oryx, gerenuk, Grévy’s zebras, Somali ostriches and reticulated giraffe. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Sarova Shaba Game lodge.

Samburu National reserve depends highly on Ewaso Nyiro which meanders through the park to Buffalo springs and to the local communities on Laikipia Meru and also Isiolo. In the local language Ewaso Nyiro means muddy or brown river from the colour of its waters throughout the yeah. Along the banks of the river lies the motionless crocs that can be easily spotted. Large medium and small mammals also flock the banks as the river is the only source of water especially during the dry season. After a long morning's gamedrive, lunch will be served at the lodge and later an afternoon game drive in anticipation of sighting any remaining members of the special five. You can can call it a day by visiting one of the Samburu cultural homes where you get to enjoy their cultural dances and great information about the area. Like their Maasai relatives, the Samburu are Nomadic pastralists and depend highly on livestock as their main source of income. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Shaba game lodge.

Not far from Samburu National reserve, is the Ol Pejeta conservancy which hosts most of Africa's endangered species including the Chimpanzees, Black and Northern White rhino. You will have a morning game drive and a visit to the Chimpanzee sanctuary. The sanctuary was set up to cater for the orphaned chimpanzees who roam freely within the sanctuary. The chimps were mainly orphaned due to human abuse but now they can feel safe here. It is the only place in Kenya where you can find these incredibly intellectual primates. You will then check in to Sweetwaters Serena for Lunch and relax. Your afternoon will be graced by visit to the Rhino sanctuary. This is one of the most memorable experiences as you will have a chance to feed the tame black rhino in specially constructed platforms. It is probably the closest you will ever come to Black Rhino as naturally they have proven to be some of the most aggressive in the wild. A visit to the Morani educational centre will summarise the day as you get to to learn more about the conservancy. Dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters Serena camp

After breakfast, you will check out and Join our tour driver for yet another day of experience. He will drive you from the Laikipia plains through the rift valley escarpments to the floor oft the valley where Lake Nakuru National park lies. Here you will check in to your lodge and have lunch after which you will tour the Lake Nakuru National Park. Created in 1961 to protect the alkaline lake of the same name, the park offers typical plains vegetation. Located 156 km northwest of Nairobi, Lake Nakuru derives its name from the Masai word "Enakuro" which means cloud of dust. It is home to many herbivores including Rothschild's giraffe, buffalo, hippo, gazelle and nearly 55 mammals including lions, leopards, spotted hyenas, rock hyraxes and reedbuck. Lake Nakuru National Park is famous for hosting both white and black rhinoceros, reintroduced after many years’ absences. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Lionhill lodge

After breakfast, you will depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve, the most famous and most visited reserve in Kenya. Covering an area of 1510 km², the Masai Mara reserve is in fact the extension in Kenyan territory of the vast Serengeti Park in Tanzania. Together, they constitute a huge ecosystem in which animals move freely. All large African animals are present. Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles, impala, Kirk’s dik-dik, bushbuck, topi, buffalo, ellipsen waterbuck, eland and giraffe, all are there. Famous for its rich wildlife, the Masai Mara is home to not only the "Big 5" (elephant, lion, buffalo, rhino and leopard) but also many birds (over 500 species of birds have been recorded). Along the rivers, crocodiles and hippos lie in wait. Composed of vast rolling plains and hills, the Masai Mara is dotted with umbrella thorn acacias and thorny thickets. In the Maa language, Mara means "spotted" and may refer to the colorful landscapes. Alternatively, the name may refer to the arrival of over two million herbivores during the annual migration (wildebeest, gazelles and zebras). After Check-In, Lunch will be served at the lodge and later in the afternoon you will commence your Mara Experience with a game drive. Dinner and overnight Mara Serena Safari Lodge

Balloon safari in the Masai Mara(Optional), a magical experience as you take in a bird's eye view of the vast, rolling plains below you. This unique and exhilarating excursion takes place early in the morning when you can marvel at the fantastic sight of the rising sun and gently float over the thousands of animals below you. This is the best time to spot wildlife as well as enjoy the peaceful vistas and crisp, clear air. Undisturbed by your presence, the animals will continue with their daily activities as you snap away and marvel at the beauty of Africa. The balloon safari ends by touching down in the wilds of the Masai Mara to enjoy a delectable champagne breakfast. You will then proceed with the morning breakfast till time for lunch. In the afternoon you will have another game drive just to sum up and conclude the magical experience. Dinner and overnight Mara Serena Safari Lodge
