Tour Plan
You'll start your day with an early breakfast at the Hotel before embarking on a short drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Located 120 km west of Arusha, Manyara is a compact but ecologically rich park named after the shallow salt lake that covers about seventy percent of its area. This soda lake, which floods and dries seasonally, is a haven for thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species.
As you explore the park, you might encounter a variety of wildlife, including monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, and elephants. With a bit of luck, you could even spot lions lounging in the trees. Manyara is renowned for its diverse landscapes, ranging from open grassy plains to primate-filled woodlands and baobab-dotted cliffs. After a day of exploration, your guide will take you to your accommodation at Farm of Dream Lodge in Karatu.
After breakfast, you'll depart for Tarangire National Park, named after the Tarangire River that flows through it. This river is the primary water source for wildlife during the dry season. The park's dense vegetation, including elephant grass and acacia woodlands, supports large herds of elephants that often gather by the river. You may also encounter giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests, as well as predators such as lions and leopards. Tarangire is renowned for its rich birdlife, with the highest number of breeding bird species in the world, and is home to Tanzania’s largest population of elephants, offering a remarkable opportunity to see these majestic animals up close.
In the late afternoon, you will be transferred to Moshi town, Kilimanjaro Airport, or another destination of your choice. We are confident that your experience will be truly unforgettable.
