Tour Plan
Morning: Depart from Kigali early in the morning, as the journey to Bwindi usually takes around 4-5 hours by road, depending on border crossing formalities.
Midday: Arrive at the Rwanda-Uganda border. Complete immigration procedures and continue your journey into Uganda.
Afternoon: Reach Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the afternoon. Check-in to your accommodation near the park.
Evening: Spend the evening relaxing and preparing for the next day's gorilla trekking adventure. You may also have the opportunity to participate in a briefing session conducted by park rangers, where you'll learn about gorilla trekking guidelines and what to expect during the trek.
Morning: Wake up early and have a hearty breakfast to energize yourself for the day ahead. Transfer to the park headquarters for gorilla trekking registration and allocation of gorilla families.
Late Morning to Afternoon: Begin your gorilla trekking adventure with experienced guides and trackers. The duration of the trek can vary depending on the location of the gorilla family you are visiting and the terrain. Once you locate the gorillas, you'll spend a magical hour observing them in their natural habitat, taking photos, and learning about their behavior from your guides.
Afternoon: After your gorilla encounter, trek back to the park headquarters. Enjoy a packed lunch along the way or return to your accommodation for lunch.
Evening: Depending on the time of your trek and your energy levels, you may have some free time to relax or explore the nearby area. Reflect on your incredible experience with the mountain gorillas and perhaps share stories with fellow travelers.
Night: Spend another night at your accommodation near Bwindi, reminiscing about the day's adventures and resting after the exhilarating trek.
Morning: Enjoy breakfast at your accommodation and check out.
Midday: Depart from Bwindi and begin your journey back to Kigali.
Afternoon: Arrive back in Kigali in the afternoon. Depending on your schedule, you may have some free time to explore Kigali or catch your onward flight.
