Arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Or picked up from your hotel in Nairobi, by our representative and briefed concerning your safari. Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive for lunch at the Flamingo Hill Tented Camp followed by an early afternoon relaxation at the camp. Later, head out on a game drive in the park.
On the floor of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland, lies the beautiful Lake Nakuru National Park. Visitors can enjoy the wide ecological diversity and varied habitats that range from Lake Nakuru itself to the surrounding escarpment and picturesque ridges. The park has recently been enlarged, partly to provide a sanctuary for the black rhino. The park is also famous for its bird spectacle, featuring over a million flamingos, over 400 migratory bird species from around the world and large flotillas of pelicans.
Dinner and overnight will be at the camp.
After breakfast, you will depart for Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive at 13h00 for check-in and to enjoy a buffet lunch at the Mara Simba Lodge. Enjoy tea or coffee in the lobby at 15h30, and head out at 16h00 for the afternoon game drive. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
The Masai Mara is situated in southwest Kenya and is one of Africa’s greatest wildlife reserves. Together with the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, it forms Africa’s most diverse, incredible and most spectacular ecosystem and possibly the world’s top safari big-game viewing ecosystem. It is globally famous for its exceptional population of lions, leopards and cheetahs, and the annual migration of zebra, Thomson's gazelle, and wildebeest to and from the Serengeti every year from July to October, known as the great migration.
Have an early morning game drive and return to the lodge for breakfast. You can freshen up and relax at the lodge or have a mid-morning optional visit to the Maasai village. Have lunch and then spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure (like swimming in the pool). In the afternoon, go on another game drive in search of more animals. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Option 1: Have breakfast and exit the lodge with a packed lunch for a full-day game drive in the Mara National Reserve in search of the Big 5. You will return in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Option 2: Go on a balloon ride (optional and at extra cost) in the early morning. You will be picked up from your lodge and transferred to the balloon launch site at 05h00 for a 1-hour ride. After your incredible flight, it is time to come back down to earth for breakfast. Enjoy a splendid breakfast of sizzling bacon, eggs, sausages, home-made breads, fresh tropical fruit and steaming cups of Kenyan tea under the clear blue sky. You will then receive your balloon certificate whereafter we drive you back to the lodge with game viewing en-route.
You will have lunch at the lodge and go on an afternoon game drive. Later, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Enjoy breakfast at the lodge and then drive back to Nairobi where you will be dropped-off at the airport for your homebound flight.
