Tour Plan
Early in the morning, your driver guide will pick you up at your hotel and drive for 2 hours to the gates of Tarangire National Park. You will do a full-day game drive with a packed lunch. In the afternoon, you will stop at a picnic site and then continue with the game drive.
Tarangire National Park is almost 2,800 sq km in size and is probably best known for its huge numbers of elephants and baobab trees. The name of the park comes from the Tarangire River which crosses through the park. Tarangire is especially spectacular during the Dry season (June – November) as wildlife concentrations rival that of the Serengeti. Enormous populations of elephants and other animals are drawn to the Tarangire River as their only source of water. With its varied habitats and permanent water in the Tarangire River, the park is home to over 2,000 elephants and 500 bird species.
In the evening, you'll exit the park and drive to Kizumba Campsite for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, you will head to Serengeti, passing by the Ngorongoro Conservation Area as you descend into the heart of wildlife - the Serengeti National Park with its endless plains. We proceed to the Seronera area, the richest wildlife habitat in the park. The Seronera River acts as the source of water for this area. We will have lunch, and at sunset, drive to the Seronera public campsite for dinner and overnight.
The great wildebeest migration occurs every year. The best chance to witness it is from June to September in Northern Serengeti. During the drive, you will see thousands of wildebeests and zebras crossing the Mara River as they migrate in search of pasture.
This entire day is set aside for game drives in the Serengeti. The Serengeti boasts an abundance of wildlife such as impala, buffalo, crocodile, and hippo. In addition to the iconic landscapes, you have a good chance of encountering predators and you may see lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Depending on the location of the Great Migration, you may venture away from the Central region to experience this natural wonder. It is a truly life-changing experience.
After an unforgettable day, you will exit the park to your Simba public campsite at the rim of the Crater for dinner and an overnight stay.
You will be picked up from the campsite after breakfast and driven to the Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the crater for a game drive with a picnic lunch box. Often called the Eighth Natural Wonder of the World, the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact crater in the world. About 2 million years ago, the Ngorongoro volcano erupted and its walls collapsed. The volcano floor sank to create a natural enclosure with its 600m-tall walls. Over 19 kilometers wide, the Ngorongoro Crater is filled with great areas of acacia forest, hippo-filled swamps, and open grasslands. These different habitats contain over 30,000 animals including elephants, warthogs, flamingos, magnificent birdlife, the rare black rhinoceros, and all predatory cats. The Maasai can also be seen grazing their cattle alongside the buffalo and wildebeest. Afterward, you will exit the park and drive to Kizumba Campsite for dinner and overnight.
Lake Manyara National Park is located at the base of the Great Rift Valley on its Western escarpment. See the famous tree-climbing lions and large and colorful flocks of flamingos that are attracted by the algae. You will enjoy a 6-hour game drive with a packed lunch box. You will stop at a picnic site at a hippo lake where you will have lunch while you watch the hippos. After the game drive, you will be transferred back to Arusha town, dinner, and overnight at Hotel Aquiline.
