After an early morning breakfast, we drive to Lake Manyara, as it is the best time to spot animals. On this day, we will enjoy a game drive around the Lake and stop for a picnic lunch within the park. Lake Manyara is famous for the tree climbing lions and the flocks of Flamingos.
After breakfast we drive to the endless plains of the Serengeti via the famous Ngorongoro crater. You will have one half day and one full day to view the great annual migration if your visit comes at the migration time. Serengeti is the oldest and most popular national park in Tanzania and not only during the annual migration when wildebeest, zebra and Thomson gazelle joining the trek to look for fresh grazing. The Serengeti wildlife includes buffalo, giraffe, eland, topi, kongoni, impala, Grant’s gazelle, lion, cheetah, leopard and the African Jackal.

Since we have a full day of game driving, you will likely view hundreds of the diverse animals that find their home within the Serengeti’s endless plains. This day will likely offer sightings of the African mammals that make the park famous- lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, and water buffalo, all within a few feet of the jeep. Visitors will also have the chance to view some of the parks lesser known, but equally majestic animals including, elands, hyenas, gazelles, crocodiles, giraffe, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos and antelope. Depending on the time of year, visitors will also have the chance to view thousands of zebra and wildebeest on their Great Migration. After breakfast we’ll take a packed picnic lunch. We leave for Ngoro Ngoro with a game drive en-route. We arrive Ngorongoro Conservation Area in the evening. The jewel in Ngorongoro crown is a deep Volcanic Crater, about 20kms across, 600 meters deep and 300 sq kms in area.2000 feet below the rim. The Crater floor is dotted with watering holes and shelters almost 30,000 animals in an area naturally enclosed by the walls of the volcano. This is the only Park where the Black Rhino could be spotted, famous too for Buffalo, Cheetah, Lion, Hyena, Hippo, Zebras, Elephants, Wildebeest, and many more of Africa’s most spectacular game animals.
After breakfast we will depart in the morning and travel to the Tarangire National Park where you can marvel at the colossal termite mounds and the ancient baobab trees. The picturesque scenery and diverse bird-life assist in creating the tranquil ambiance of the Tarangire National Park. The great elephant population is an extremely remarkable sight. African elephants are the largest land mammal and adult males can weigh as much as seven tonnes. Tarangire’s varied wildlife includes lions, giraffes, warthogs, ostriches, impalas, cheetah, mongoose, buffaloes, and baboons. When your game drive comes to an end, we will take you back to Arusha to check into your Hotel or you will be dropped at Kilimanjaro Airport.
After breakfast we’ll take a packed picnic lunch and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where we’ll descend into the stunning crater to view the prolific wildlife. The main feature of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is the Ngorongoro Crater – a large, unbroken, unflooded volcanic caldera. The crater, which was formed when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed on itself some two to three million years ago, is 610m (2,000 ft) deep and its floor covers 260 km² (100 sq mi). Estimations of the height of the original volcano range from fifteen to nineteen thousand feet (4500 to 5800 meters). Animal populations in the crater include most of the species found in East Africa; lions, elephants, zebras, rhino, leopard, buffalo, gazelle, wildebeest, hippos and many different species of birds. We later depart to Arusha.
