During game drive you may see zebras, wildebeest, elephant, Maasai giraffe, Baboons, Fringe-eared Oryx and predators such as Lions, cheetah, leopard even tree climbing python if you are lucky, alongside variety of birds such as the endemic ashy starling, Rufous-tailed weaver and black-collared lovebird. Picnic lunch will be provided by your driver Guide at the designed picnic area inside the park, then drive to the camp for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park for full day safari with picnic lunches in hand. The park is situated inside of the Great Rift Valley with a distinctive evergreen forest that provides suitable habitat for olive baboons, monkeys, big families of elephants, tree climbing lions, and African cape buffalos. Midday you will enjoy lunch in the park before setting out for the open woodland areas where you will set your sights on giraffes, hippos and flamingos. After afternoon game drive, you will drive to the hotel for dinner and overnight
On this day you will enjoy a full day of exploring Lake Eyasi. You’ll start by visiting the local bushman (Hadzabe) and learn about their hunting-gathering lifestyle before joining them in a simulated bow and arrow hunt. Later in the day you’ll spend some time with the Hadzabe, considered to be Africa’s traditional ironsmiths, and observe as they use charcoal ovens to smelt iron and steel from local ore and get to know the relationship that these two ethnic groups have. In the midday you will have a picnic.
Today you will get up close and personal with one of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites – the Ngorongoro conservation area. This unique multiuse site is one of the only in the world where man, livestock and wildlife live together in harmony. Your journey will continue with a visit to the Olduvai Gorge, known as the cradle of mankind. Considered to be one of the most important prehistoric sites in the world, the gorge is where Dr. Leakey discovered the world’s first humans in the 1950s. Along the way you will pass through a traditional Maasai village where you’ll have the opportunity to experience the culture and lifestyle of its nomadic people. You’ll be welcomed by the Maasai and get an up-close look at their handmade houses and unique traditional dances and afterwards continue to the central Serengeti national park to the hotel/ camp with game drive enroute.
On this day you will have a full day of game drives in the park. You and your guide will decide the game drive pattern of your preference among three practical options. You may decide to leave for an early morning game drive then come back for late breakfast then leave for another game drive with picnic lunch coming back for dinner. The second option is to leave after breakfast, come back for hot lunch then leave for an evening game drive coming back to the camp for dinner. The other option is to leave after breakfast with picnic lunch then comes back in the late evening (the last option will give you an opportunity to explore scenes that are far from your accommodation for example the migrating herds because you will not have time limit). There will be no shortage of animal sightings as the presence of permanent mud pools and shade attract giraffes, impalas, warthogs, and hippos. You might also catch a glimpse of cheetahs, hyenas and jackals.
You’ll descend into the crater very early in the morning for a game drive with a picnic lunch midday. One of the 8th Wonder of the World, the crater is a very important refuge for a variety of wildlife. Most commonly seen are big bulls of elephants and the vulnerable species of black rhinos. The crater is also home to big herds of wildebeest and zebras, thomson and grant gazelles, hippopotamus, African cape buffalos, prides of lions, hyenas, serval cats, golden and black backed jackals, and close to 400 species of bird. You will have lunch in the crater then drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, relax by the pool at 0900 then drive back to Arusha/ Kilimanjaro for drop off or scheduled flight via Masai village.
