Tour Overview
This Kilimanjaro trek can be organised for families, couples or solo travellers. It includes airport pick-ups and drop offs and is based on camping accommodations. It includes sleeping bags, camping gear, oxygen tanks, rescue fees, park fees, transportation to and from the park gate, three meals per day, coolers, porters, a language guide and accommodations before and after the trek in Arusha or Moshi.

Tour Plan
You will be met and greeted at Kilimanjaro Airport by one of our professional drivers and driven to Arusha. In the early evening you will participate in a pre-climbing briefing on your upcoming trek. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the Rich Hotel.
After breakfast you will transfer to the Kilimanjaro Park Gate at Machame. Begin the first section of your climb through the mountain forest. You will walk five to seven hours before you reach the Machame campsite at 10000ft/3000m. Your meals and overnight will be at the camp.
At 7:00am, after breakfast, we will depart the camp and follow the steep ridge across heath and moorland to picnic rock and the Shira plateau. The hike to Shira Camp 2 is one of the most scenic on the mountain. The hike begins in the tropical rainforest and sojourns quite quickly into a shrubland setting. Some people refer to this area on Kilimanjaro as moorland or low-alpine landscape. Your walk to the Shira Campsite (12500ft/3800m) will take five to seven hours. Your dinner and overnight will be at the camp.
After breakfast in the morning you will depart to your third destination, Barranco camp (13000ft/3900m). You will cross a broad valley and then climb to a ridge crest, crossing scree slopes and a river valley to reach the campsite. Your walk will take five to seven hours and your meals and overnight will be at the camp.
After breakfast you will cross the floor of the Great Barranco Valley and make your way over the Barranco wall to the Karanga River, the last water source on this route. A steep climb over rocky slabs brings you to the Barafu campsite (15500ft/4600m). Your journey today will take eight to nine hours and your meals and overnight will be at the camp.
Today you will rise early in the morning and make your way to the highest point in Africa, Uhuru Peak (19340ft/5896m). This trek will last to six to seven hours. After you have had your fill of the summit you will descend via Barafu campsite through th
