Tour Plan

Arrive at Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) in Dar es Salaam, where you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Relax after your journey, taking in the sights and sounds of Tanzania’s vibrant port city. Enjoy dinner at your hotel or explore one of the city’s renowned seafood restaurants.

Depart for Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve) after breakfast. Upon arrival, settle into your lodge before embarking on an afternoon boat safari along the Rufiji River. The river safari provides a unique vantage point to view hippos, crocodiles, and diverse birdlife, set against a backdrop of stunning sunsets.

Spend the day exploring Nyerere National Park’s vast and diverse landscapes on morning and afternoon game drives. Venture through woodlands, floodplains, and open savannahs in search of elephants, lions, wild dogs, and giraffes. With fewer visitors, Nyerere offers a raw and untamed safari experience.

Depart Nyerere National Park and head to Mikumi National Park, passing through picturesque landscapes that offer glimpses of local life along the way. Arrive in the afternoon and set off on an introductory game drive, spotting iconic wildlife such as buffalo, elephants, and giraffes against the backdrop of the beautiful Uluguru Mountains.

Enjoy a full day of exploration in Mikumi National Park, known for its open plains reminiscent of the Serengeti. Morning and afternoon game drives provide opportunities to see lions, zebras, hippos, and the rare wild dog. Visit the Mkata Floodplain, home to large herds of buffalo and a favorite hunting ground for predators.

Transfer to Udzungwa Mountains National Park for a day of hiking in one of Tanzania’s most biodiverse regions. Trek through lush rainforests, encounter rare primates, and visit the stunning Sanje Waterfalls, cascading over 170 meters. The hike offers a refreshing change of pace, with panoramic views and a deep connection to nature.

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Ruaha National Park, Tanzania’s largest national park. Arrive in the afternoon and settle into your lodge. Enjoy a leisurely evening game drive, soaking in the park’s dramatic landscapes and spotting early evening wildlife.

Spend full day exploring the rugged and remote Ruaha National Park. With extensive game drives, witness elephants, prides of lions, and the park’s unique birdlife. Ruaha’s mix of baobab-studded plains, rocky outcrops, and riverine habitats make it a photographer’s paradise. The isolation of Ruaha ensures an authentic and private safari experience.
