Tour Plan
After settling in, you’ll set out for our first stop: Tarangire National Park. Along the way, you’ll take in the scenic views of the grassland plains speckled with the ancient baobab trees, traditional Maasai houses, and cattle being herded by the nomadic people. You will proceed to Tarangire National Park with your safari guide for a full day game drive. You’ll see first hand all that Tarangire National Park is known for – the famous baobab tree, tree climbing pythons, and the largest concentration of African elephants. After a picnic lunch, you’ll resume your afternoon game drive where you’ll encounter other animals such as lions, giraffes, and zebras before ending the evening with dinner back at the camp.
After fueling up on breakfast, Proceed to the Lake Manyara National Park - Bird's and tree climbing lions paradise: you’ll depart for your full day safari at Lake Manyara National Park with picnic lunches in hand. The park is situated inside of the Great Rift Valley with a distinctive evergreen forest that provides suitable habitat for olive baboons, monkeys, big families of elephants, tree climbing lions, and African cape buffalos. Midday you’ll enjoy lunch in the park before setting out for the open woodland areas where you’ll hope to set your sights on giraffes, hippos and flamingos. Upon finishing your afternoon game drive, you’ll wind down with dinner back at the camp.
After an early breakfast you’ll descend into the crater for a full day game drive with a picnic lunch midday. Often considered the 8th Wonder of the World, the crater is a very important refuge for a variety of wildlife. Most commonly seen are big bulls of elephants and the vulnerable species of black rhinos. The crater is also home to big herds of wildebeest and zebras, thomson and grant gazelles, hippopotamus, African cape buffalos, prides of lions, hyenas, serval cats, golden and black backed jackals, and close to 400 species of bird. Today you’ll get up close and personal with one of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites – the Ngorongoro conservation area. This unique multi-use site is one of the only in the world where man, livestock and wildlife live together in harmony. You’ll continue on your drive with game viewing en route before arriving at the camp for dinner and rest. You’ll enjoy dinner set against the backdrop of the wonderful views of the Savannah and an overnight at the camp.
You have a full day of excursions in the Serengeti National Park today enjoying morning and afternoon game drives from the camp. The center of the Serengeti, called Seronera, is a network of rivers that ensure dependable water supplies attracting wildlife throughout the year. It is here that you’ll have your best opportunity to spot the “Big Five”: lions, elephants, buffalo, rhino, and the leopard. There will be no shortage of animal sightings as the presence of permanent mud pools and shade attract giraffes, impalas, warthogs, and hippos. You might also catch a glimpse of cheetahs, hyenas and jackals before returning to camp for the night.
Today you’ll depart shortly after breakfast for morning game drive in the Serengeti, to enjoy the breathtaking views and big concentration of flora and fauna followed by lunch at the camp. In the afternoon, you’ll continue with game drive enroute up to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and pass through a traditional Maasai village where you’ll have the opportunity to experience the culture and lifestyle of its nomadic people. You’ll be welcomed by the Maasai and get an up close look at their handmade houses and unique traditional dances. Afterwards, you’ll continue to head towards the Ngorongoro, enjoying a lovely scenic drive with views of the Ngorongoro conservation area and the crater.
Breakfast, farewell and then drive to Arusha town followed by transfer to the airport/border.
