Masai Mara is the most popular park in Kenya and is famous for the annual wildebeest migration which happens around July to August every year as the Wildebeest and Zebras migrate from Tanzania to Kenya in search of feeding ground for their calves. It has a wide range of wildlife ranging from the Big Five to smaller species such as antelopes as well as a large variety of bird species.

Tour Plan
You will be picked from the airport/hotel and transferred to the office to meet the rest of the group and start your safari to Masai Mara. The safari starts as early as 7:00 am so that you can try to get to Masai Mara reserve as early as possible for maximizing your evening game drive. You will have two stop overs one at the rift valley viewpoint to witness the floor of the escarpment which stretches across Africa all the way to the red sea. Our second stopover will be at Narok town for your final shopping and bathroom stop before proceeding deeper to Masai Mara reserve are which is set up in the rural area. The land scape to the park and your accommodation makes you feel as if you are already in the reserve as your game drive starts early with views of wildlife like the gigantic giraffe. Check in to your camp in time for lunch, have your lunch very fast and proceed for an evening game drive which ,marks the beginning of your Masai Mara holiday. It is a two and a half introductory game drive allowing you a glimpse of the great expanse of Masai Mara with its beautiful landscape and wildlife. Experience the African sun set behind the hills, exit the park and head back to your camp for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
You will wake up very early, have your breakfast and by 0630 hrs. you should be starting the full day safari. Masai Mara has a rich diversity of animals from the big five to giraffes, zebras, rhinos, antelopes, gazelles among others. In this reserve, you are assured of real close encounters of the wildlife. As we follow the wildlife road tracking networks, we will get to the Mara River, where you can watch the hippos and crocodiles. Depending on your timing, you can also witness millions of wildebeest crossing this river from the neighboring Serengeti, to look for greener pastures in Masai Mara. The wildebeest migration is one of the world’s annual spectacular events in the Masai Mara. You will have your picnic lunch in the park and continue with game viewing with more of the big five and the lesser-known game encounters till sunset. This marks the second day of your budget holiday safari Dinner and overnight shall be at your camp.
You will wake up a bit late, after your breakfast you will proceed to the Maasai village to get a chance of experiencing the Maasai culture, their songs and dances. Visit their homestead and see how they arrange their home and learn how tricks of starting a fire in the jungle. Later check out of your room and proceed back to Nairobi which will mark the end of your Maasai Mara holiday.
