Tour Plan
After breakfast, you'll depart from your Arusha accommodations and drive to the park. Your visit to Arusha National Park is a flexible one, as you'll have two choices as to how you'd like to experience the park. You can do both Game drive and Walking Safari as below. Game Drive: You can embark on a half-day or full-day game drive through the park. Your drive will pass you past park landmarks such as the Momella Lakes and Ngurdoto Crater - sometimes known as 'Little Ngorongoro'. Walking Safari: Stretch your legs with a gudied walking safari through the park. While on your walking safari, you can expect to see endless acres of forest, home to black and white colobus monkeys, zebras, buffalos, and a varietyof antelopes. You will also have a chance to observe more than 400 bird species including the Crowned Eagle, Lanner Falcon, and Levaillants Cuckoo. You'll return to Arusha in the late afternoon with a head full of memories and a camera full of unforgettable photos.
Your private Safari guide will pick you at your Hotel in Arusha at 8 am and you will make your way to Tarangire National Park, famous for its wide number of elephants. The sun makes the earth look a rusty red as it rises over the horizon. The grass is brittle in the dry months; you can hear the crunch as animals stumble over the straw. The river keeps its surroundings lush; however it has withered, as it does when the dry season rolls through, keeping the animals close to the riverbanks and the wildlife active throughout the year. The air is cool, shaded from the afternoon sun. The baboons are not fussed by the vehicle as they continue on their way, active in the sunlight, foraging for food, rambunctious among the troop, eventually settling down and heading for the river in search of water to quench their thirst. In the late afternoon as the baboons make their way to the water, you make your way out of the park and drive to the comfort of your Lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, we leave for Serengeti. Our journey takes us west and north, our exciting destination being a name familiar to everyone – the Serengeti! Along the way, the sheer scale of the territory and the raw beauty of the landscapes reveal themselves and your driver-guide will help you to spot animals and birds. This is just a preview of things to come, for the Serengeti is home to what is possibly the world’s greatest gathering of wildlife. After enjoying your lunch, you’ll be eager to pursue some more great wildlife-spotting opportunities in this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Set in the grasslands, savannahs, woods and mountain scenery, which creature will show itself next? These ‘endless plains’ are home to elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah, hippo and crocodile… the adventure has truly begun. At the end of the afternoon, exhausted, it’s back to the comfort of your luxury accommodation for dinner and to talk about the many fantastic experiences you’ve had today.
Waking up in the Serengeti is something really special. Sights, sounds and smells of Africa are all around us, and ahead is a full day of adventure in the world’s most famous national park. After breakfast, we start today with the morning section of our game drive in Serengeti National Park, marvelling at the stunning scenery, ever changing light and always entertaining wildlife, all explained to you by your expert driver-guide. After our picnic lunch, we set off again, searching for wildlife in this awe-inspiring park. Serengeti’s wonders evolve subtly as the day progresses. The myriad animals and birds are the ‘stars of the show’ and Nature’s dramas can unfold at any time. Of course, the animals don’t work to any schedule, so we may find lion or leopard, elephant and zebra, cheetah and antelope at any time on our drives. At the end of the afternoon, we return to the lodge for dinner and some much needed rest.
The exciting sounds of Africa will rouse you from your sleep. We make the most of the day with an early start, heading off on our morning game-drive. Later, the adventure will continue when we travel up to Ngorongoro, another African icon. It’s almost impossible to spend too much time in Serengeti and with more than 1.6 million herbivores – plus thousands of predators – there’s always something new and interesting to see. The changing seasons and natural light simply add to the diversity. This morning your driver-guide will help you spot some more of the many species at Serengeti, teaching you about their fascinating habits and habitats. After a pleasant picnic lunch, it’s time to drive eastwards to visit another spectacular setting for Tanzania’s wildlife, the famous Ngorongoro Crater. On arrival, settle in a the comfort of your Lodge while a tasty, hot dinner is prepared for you. Tomorrow, the wonders of the crater await us.
Today we start early again as we will find our way to the floor of Ngorongoro Crater. Today we have plenty of time to enjoy another true spectacle, Ngorongoro Crater is often referred to as a wonder of the world and your game drives in the crater will show you why. You will have 7 hours of game drive in the crater. First, there's the volcanic caldera (the world's largest), full of grassland, forest and swamp, a setting of jaw-dropping beauty. Secondly, the permanent water of the crater floor supports a resident population of more than 25,000 large mammals. Here you'll find many of the reasons you chose to come on safari because there is very high possibility to spot all the Big 5 within one day: elephant, lion, leopard, hyena, jackal, wallowing hippo, waterbuck, baboons, even the rare black rhino finds shelter here. In the late afternoon after full day of game drives we ascend the crater and drive to your Lodge for Hot shower, Dinner and overnight.
In the morning after breakfast depaart for Lake Manyara National Park with packed lunch for game drives. The Lake occupies large area of the park, the forest start just when you cross the park gate along the base of the Great Rift Valley and hot spring to the west of the park. The park is home to Tree climbing Lion, Buffalo, Giraffe, Hippo, troops of Baboons, also Flamingo bird Ostrich, Egyptian Geese and more? After your picnic lunch proceed with afternoon game drives before you leave the park and find your way back to Arusha to your hotel or to the Airport for your next plans.
