Tour Plan
We will leave Arusha in the morning and head to Tarangire National Park, a landscape dotted with towering termite mounds and majestic baobab trees. The park’s serene atmosphere is enhanced by its stunning scenery and vibrant birdlife. One of the park’s highlights is its impressive elephant population, offering a unique chance to observe these magnificent creatures, with adult males weighing up to seven tons. Tarangire is also home to a diverse range of wildlife, including lions, giraffes, warthogs, ostriches, impalas, cheetahs, mongooses, buffaloes, and baboons. After an exciting game drive, we’ll proceed to Karatu, where you’ll enjoy dinner and spend the night.
After a delightful breakfast, we’ll journey from Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park, following a scenic route that passes near the Ngorongoro Crater, offering opportunities to spot wildlife along the way. The Serengeti’s vast golden savannah, interspersed with vibrant vegetation and diverse wildlife, showcases why it’s recognized as one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders. You’ll pause to enjoy a picnic lunch atop a kopje, a small hill offering stunning views of the landscape. The adventure continues with a leisurely game drive deeper into the Serengeti, where you’ll explore its remarkable beauty before settling in for the night at your Serengeti accommodation.
The day begins with an early morning game drive in central Serengeti, where the savannah comes alive with activity as the sun rises, casting its golden light across the landscape. The air resonates with the songs of birds, creating a magical ambiance. Your guide will expertly track animal footprints to locate predators in their natural habitat. After this exhilarating experience, we’ll journey to the Ngorongoro Crater, where you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay, preparing for the next leg of your adventure.
After an early breakfast, we’ll head to the Ngorongoro Crater, the ideal time to observe wildlife in this unique habitat. The day includes an exciting game drive within the crater, with a stop at a picturesque lake for a picnic lunch. This lake, home to hippos and a variety of migratory birds, adds to the charm of your visit.
The Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as an "animal oasis," provides an excellent opportunity to spot all members of the famed "Big Five"—the lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, and buffalo. You’ll also see playful zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and hyenas, as well as elegant flamingos along the Soda Lake and soaring vultures and hawks overhead. Water birds like storks, ibis, and cranes add to the spectacle.
Did you know the crater formed over two million years ago when a massive volcanic eruption created the world’s largest intact caldera? Its history and abundance of wildlife make it a truly remarkable destination.
After a day filled with incredible animal sightings and breathtaking scenery, we’ll begin our journey back to Arusha, bringing your unforgettable adventure to a close.
